As Thanksgiving approaches we begin to think of all those things that we are grateful for. When we sit around the table we bless the food we are about to eat with our loved ones. We show gratitude when we thank each other for simple deeds, when we acknowledge our fellow men and women for their acts of kindness. It takes place when we are in the moment and appreciate our eyesight, our sense of touch or our ability to walk, or the sunshine on a beautiful day.

Gratitude is the gateway to abundance whether it is abundance of love, friendships, money or good health. When we are grateful we attract abundance in our lives. Using a daily practice of expressing gratitude can begin to fill our basket of what we desire most. Be mindful of being thankful for what you have now, not what you want in the future. Being grateful for your body because it does so much for you, for your home because it shelters you or your friends because they nourish you. The Universe hears you when you acknowledge what you have now and you attract more of what you want.

Spend a few minutes each day writing down or saying aloud at least ten things you are grateful for and watch how your life starts to change.
